În lumea-n care suntem azi,

Să-ți vezi de treabă-i cel mai bine.

Tovărășii și alianțe

Ai grijă mare cum le faci.

Totul e contrapartidă,

Îmi dai, îți dau.

Nu-mi dai, nu îți dau.

Gratuitate nu există.

La mare înălțime este înșelătoria.

Cuvânt, promisiune,

Onoare și sinceritate

Sunt rare și neînsemnate.

Cât despre glumă,

A dispărut de multă vreme.

Nici să zâmbești nu mai dă bine

În ochii celui încruntat.

Și ce fudui, ce îngâmfați

Sunt toți ce-i care-s încruntați.

De nu-i cunoști, mai că ai crede

Că sunt toți fii de împărați.
